The Girl’s Grammar School

Based on the proposal made in 1924 by Vilmos Csutak, headmaster of the Székely Mikó College, the edifice, designed by Károly Kós, was built between 1926-1927, from donations of the county’s residents. This building is also particularly articulated by the tower at the entrance, a characteristic of the structures of Kós. From 1949 it became a vocational school of textiles. A complete overhaul was made in 1952, with several classrooms added in the southern direction, then, in 1983 a canteen was added, designed by Andrea Léstyán. From September 2001 it was named Kós Károly Vocational School. After the building became the property of the Székely Mikó College, a renovation took place between 2018-2019.
