The Bene House
The family home of the lawyer István Bene, built in 1908 is decorated with faces made of plaster, resembling the face of Medusa, that are believed to keep evil spirits away. This eclectic building, with its Art Nouveau ornaments, its arched balcony and its finials may be considered as one of the most beautiful buildings of Saint George. In the second half of the 20th century, the edifice was home to the local hospital's otorhinolaryngology department, and later to the county's blood transfusion centre. Nowadays the Hunting Exhibition of Szeklerland, founded in 2013, functions in the building.
